Guard your energy
Know your energy and how to direct it. Be clear about your
mission and avoid the many real and potential energy leaks. If we meet
with
resistance, which we will, keep moving forward others will follow.
Especially until we learn to lead more effectively, we need to focus
on the people who are moving forward with us, and not on those who
don't. If we carry other people's problems with us we will spend
the valuable energy that is necessary to accomplish our tasks on
their issues. Also, try and eat as healthy as you can. Just like a
high performance car needs more expensive, high-octane fuel, so does
your body. If you want to perform at a high energy level day in and
day out, you have to make sure your body has high quality fuel to work
with.
